| This was another great weekend for Champion System Racing. Members of our men's and women's elite teams placed in the top 15 at some of the nations toughest pro/am events on June 10th and 11th, giving a run for the money to Pro Riders like Mark McCormack and Marty Nothstien.
Saturday at the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium Pro 1/2 - Siu Jun Chiu of Champion System Racing was in an early break with Marty Nothstien and other pro cyclists. Siu Jun managed to stick with the best and got 15th place, earning respect and some cold hard cash.
Sunday at the Cox Charities Race in Providence, Rhode Island, Jason Beerman took a solo drive up to bridge up to a break that included Frank McCormack (Pro) and held onto get 6th place. This clearly was the best result from an athlete that just started racing a year ago. Our race program has proved to benefit Beerman and our other riders.
Also placing at the Cox Charities was Siu Jun, who held onto an impressive 19th place. Collectively these guys beat out guys that get paid to race for a living.
Lane Herrick raced in support of Siu Jun and Jason's efforts and managed to get a huge score for Champion System Racing. Lane was on the front page of the Providence Journal, preparing to corner.
