Champion System Racing recruited Devon Flaherty for one reason and one only. That is to win races which he successfully did at Tour of Brooklyn in Prospect Park on July 15th.
Devon is now newbie to cycling, having started at a young age and riding the collegiate scene at Stamford, this kid (only 20) has had his share of victories with this being one of his sweetest local victories.
The race had no shortage of talent which included team members from Mengoni, WS United, Sakkonet, and Axis which have their former pro stars. In the end, Champion System racing picked up 1st 5th, 6t, 9th and 11th -getting 4 in the top 10, and 5 in the top 15. And it was a great pay day for them as well.
Look for Devon to crush some more races soon with the help of lead out men, Rob Wing and Scott Snyder.
