It was a hot weekend at this years 2006 New York Empire State games where we had 3 cyclist qualify for; Jared Bunde, JP Kaminsky, and Arone Dyer.
The Empire State Games (ESG) is considered like a mini-Olympics due the format and nature of events held. The ESG host, Cycling, Kayaking, Running and many other sports typically seen at the Olympic Games.
For cycling, the ESG host a road race, criterium, an individual time trial and a team time trial. As luck would have it, Jared Bunde managed to get 2nd (silver medal) in the men's road race, and Arone Dyer scored 3rd (bronze medal) for the women's road race.
To medal in these events is very hard, and the competition is fierce. KraftGenie Cycling is very happy to have 2 members place for the team.
