The Union Pool Roller Race was a huge success for Kissena Cycling Club and Kraft Genie Cycling. About 20 contestants raced in this “Triplets of Bellville” style event. Over 100 spectators, with booze in hand, cheered on their favorite racers as they watched the meter clock. It was exciting to watch and Union Pool was a great venue for this event. Set high up on stage, it felt very “Vaudeville”. The commentator cheered on the crowd while the contestants were spinning for the win. Heat after heat, the field got smaller. The last heat of the night was the most exciting and the closest of all finishes. All of the winners of the evening received a gift from our generous sponsor Cycles Gladiator Uninhibited Wines.
